This really is our favourite find!! We have acquired the most enormous Fulham pottery mantle vase we have ever come across at 65cm wide! It is a beautiful unglazed scalloped design and is in almost pristine condition.
This beautiful vase was designed by William John Marriner for Fulham Pottery and manufactured around 1930. It has a pedestal base, fluted body and twin loop-handles.
The earthenware exterior is unglazed, and the interior glazed. It is in exceptional condition for its age with no crazing just the lightest of marks.
The underside is impressed with the stamp ‘THE POTTERY/FULHAM/LONDON’, ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’, and inscribed shape no. ‘
This is an incredibly beautiful and special piece and would look beautiful upon a grand mantle piece or console or even in a lovely large window.
